Allen Dupras
Allen Dupras is a Marquette-based Irish flautist, fiddler, and bouzouki player, taught by attending Irish Sessions in Irish pubs in the Twin Cities and old-time jams at Hiawatha Music Co-op in Marquette.
In addition to experience teaching middle and high school students, Allen currently organizes The Irish Sessions, an open jam session hosted every other Tuesday at Blackrocks Brewery in Marquette where he prioritizes being a resource for people wanting to learn more tunes, especially by ear. His hope is that his workshop at the U.P. Folklife Festival can inspire folks who have shown interest to jump in and learn.
